What’s On at Woodvale – Thursday
ITINERARY:
Good morning, Welcome at the Woodvale social centre.
Enjoy a selection of tasty Morning Tea refreshments and beverages.
Start the day off with some light morning exercises and stretches, followed by a relaxing and peaceful guided meditation session.
Morning Activities – Customer choice:
Art Therapy: Have fun expressing yourself and create your own individual and personalised Artwork in our engaging Art Studio.
Learn all about different Themes, Artists, Colours, Art Techniques and Art mediums in the process with our resident Art Therapist Lisa.
Virtual Reality Headset Experience: Take yourself on an exciting 3D immersive sensory journey while sitting in the comfort of an Armchair.
Place a headset on over your eyes and visually be filled with computer- generated imagery.
Enjoy a 360 degree view and feel as though you are physically right there experiencing the wonderment of these environments.
Explore travelling to new places and visiting famous sites in the world,
revisit cherished memories and familiar meaningful locations from your past.
This month in VR we are exploring and experiencing: Birds in their Natural Habitat.
Giant Jenga: Have fun with your friends, each taking a turn to remove one block at a time from any level of the Jenga Tower- then placing that block on the top.
All the while trying really hard to not have the Jenga Tower fall down in the process.
Board Games : Enjoy playing some of your favourite traditional Board games with your friends: Monopoly, Scrabble, Boggle, Upwords.
Enjoy a freshly cooked lunch meal followed by a delicious dessert from our resident chef Adrian.

Afternoon Activities – Customer choice:
WA Cycling Tricycle (weather permitting): Have fun sitting as a passenger in a Trishaw, enjoy experiencing a lovely outdoor tricycle ride, viewing the surrounds of nature and the local community scenery, all the while waving to the passers-by.
Woodvale Beauty Salon Pamper: Enjoy some personal care and wellbeing by getting pampered in our Beauty Salon with
a relaxing mini- hand massage followed by a lovely nail polish makeover.
Tradition Bingo: Enjoy a game of Bingo with your friends and win mini chocolates in the process.
Have your exact numbers called out in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line format to win – Shouting out “Bingo “each time.
If you would prefer a restful and tranquil activity, feel free to spend some time in our private sensory room, sit on a lovely rocking chair in our nursery room, spend some time outside in our lovely garden area, read the daily newspaper, do a jigsaw puzzle, or read from our wide range of magazines and books.
Finish the day off with some freshly made Afternoon Tea and beverages before heading off home at 3pm.
