What’s On at Woodvale – Monday

ITINERARY:

Good morning, Welcome at the Woodvale social centre.

Enjoy a selection of tasty Morning Tea refreshments and beverages.

Start the day off with some light morning exercises and stretches followed by the tranquil sound of peaceful meditation music and the melodies of relaxing Bird song sounds found in Nature.

Morning Activities – Customer choice:

Art Therapy: Have fun expressing yourself and create your own individual and personalised Artwork in our engaging Art Studio.
Learn all about different Themes, Artists, Colours, Art Techniques and Art mediums in the process with our resident Art Therapist Lisa.

Virtual Reality Headset Experience: Take yourself on an exciting 3D immersive sensory journey while sitting in the comfort of an Armchair.
Place a headset on over your eyes and visually be filled with computer- generated imagery.
Enjoy a 360-degree view and feel as though you are physically right there experiencing the wonderment of these environments.
Explore travelling to new places and visiting famous sites in the world,
revisit cherished memories and familiar meaningful locations from your past.
This month in VR we are exploring and experiencing Birds in their Natural Habitat.

Connect 4: Have a game of Giant Connect 4 and compete with your friends to see who can strategically place the discs horizontally, diagonally or upwards to win the game.

Table Air Hockey : Test your skills and enjoy a fast paced sliding game of Table Air Hockey with your friends. Defend your goal and try to score goals against each other on the opposing sides of the table by using a hand held hockey paddle, to hit the round plastic disc into the goal.

Enjoy a freshly cooked lunch meal followed by a delicious dessert from our resident chef Adrian

Afternoon Activities – Customer Choice:

Dart Game: Play a popular, social game of Darts in our outdoor undercover area with your friends. Stand on our new Dart mat and aim to carefully throw each Dart at the Target – a circular Dartboard which is numbered and segmented. Aim for the “Bullseye” and outer edges of the Dartboard for high scoring points and then keep track of all of your scores on our new Dart scoreboard.

Assorted Card and Memory Card Games: UNO: Enjoy playing an assortment of Card games and play the popular card game UNO with your friends. Aim to be the first player to get rid of all of your cards and remember to shout out “UNO” when you only have one card left.

If you would prefer a restful and tranquil activity, feel free to spend some time in our private sensory room, sit on a lovely rocking chair in our nursery room, spend some time outside in our lovely garden area, read the daily newspaper, do a jigsaw puzzle, or read from our wide range of magazines and books.

Finish the day off with some freshly made Afternoon Tea and beverages, before heading off home at 3pm.
