Community Vision broadens WA footprint

Empowering Western Australians: Community Vision's Groundbreaking Partnership with Dementia Doulas International in Transforming Dementia Care

Western Australia-based not-for-profit community services provider Community Vision has expanded its operations from the Perth metropolitan area into the southwest of the state.

The provider – which supports aged care customers and clients with a disability – has been offering limited services in the south-west of WA since 2022.

Overtime, Community Vision has built up its workforce in the region – which now includes a registered nurse and a local team of support staff who deliver home care services, veteran nursing services and disability support to the local community.

“We have been committed to building a south-west team to deliver services to the community and help people to stay connected and live in their homes for longer,” said Community Vision chief executive officer Yvonne Timson.

Through Community Vision, south-west residents can access Home Care Packages and services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

These services include in-home support, social support, personal care and medication assistance. Nursing services include wound care, catheter management and diabetes management.

“From Harvey to Walpole and in between, we are excited to be able to offer our services in an increased capacity to assist more people to live their life their way,” said Ms Timson.
